Gave as gift February 14, 2010 WSH (USA) I gave this to my niece for Christmas. It's Valentine's Day and she is still playing with it. I would say it's a WINNER! Comes with a product code that allows her to create an account and play Liv World games online (change her outfits, eye-hand coordination games... age appropriate stuff).
Thanks and God Bless February 1, 2010 Stephen Vorwerk (Taylor, TX USA) Thanks and God Bless for providing this much appreciated product to our family during the Christmas Holidays
My daughter's favorite "Barbies" January 7, 2010 Jenn O (san diego) My daughter has 60 barbies (crazy) and the Liv dolls are the ones she likes the best. They are dressed "hip" and all their joints move so they are easier to dress altogether. I wish they made more than just four!
Interesting Doll December 27, 2009 Miyu-chan Like with Sophie, I purchased two of these dolls, and I found some interesting differences between the two. I gave my friend the better of the two dolls. My Katie has trouble moving her hands (one doesn't pivot and the other doesn't bend), but she's very flexible everywhere else. The wigs are thick and voluminous, and her skin tone is very pale (which I wasn't expecting). I enjoy the doll, despite her flaws, since she's a beautiful doll.
When it comes to this product, it's important to keep in mind that the quality of the product is inconsistent. It is cheaper than buying similar Obitsu or Volks dolls (since the LIV dolls come with wigs, eyes, and clothes), but it is a bit of a gamble.
Sophie Liv Doll is pretty but her wigs won't stay on! December 27, 2009 Andee (NY, NY) Got the Sophie Doll for my 6 year old niece. The Sophie doll is pretty, is bigger than a Barbie, and is very flexible at all joints. The packaging was ridiculous to extract the doll. Had to use scissors and still couldn't get all of the many plastic secures off. The doll is great except for the strange hair attachments for the wigs. Once the wigs are pulled off they are difficult to get back on again (they are secured via a peg that goes into a hole in the head of the doll! The wigs didn't seem secure once we took them off and put them on just 2 times (and I was helping her!). The wigs did stay on but not tightly. My niece loves the overall look of the doll but with the hair/wig issue I can't imagine this product being popular in the long term. If my niece can't handle the wig attaching, I predict soon the doll will just stay bald with a hole in her head!
