 Smaller than expected! August 21, 2010

Although the dimensions are given, the overall proportions were smaller than expected. It's a slim doll! Hair has survived the harsh brushing of a toddler. Crown will be lost since it can come off very easily. Cute though! Cute toddler like appearance! With such few ethnic choices in dolls...worth the purchase!

I ordered both this doll and the Princess Tiana toddler doll sold by the Disey Store (through Amazon)because I couldn't decide which I liked better based on Amazon pictures. The doll from the Disney store was much larger than this doll. Upon a quick once-over the Disney Store doll was cuter.
I feel like this doll was too "barbie" like. You know how all barbie faces look the same just different skin tones. This doll had the same face as other dolls, just with brown skin, plus she was wearing lipstick. The Disney store doll has interesting features and a cute little nose like my daughter.
I returned this doll, kept the Disney store doll and gave it to my daughter on Christmas. She has been lugging it around everywhere since.

I ordered Princess Tiana the toddler doll for my daughter's birthday and she absolutely adores her! It's a great gift for any little girl no matter if she's a toddler or a girl at heart!!!

My daughter looked at Princess Tiana and said "Mommy, she looks like me" and that's all I needed to hear. My family is extremely proud of our black heritage and will support companies that produce dolls that contribute to our daughter's great self-esteem.

And as of Sept 29th, this doll isn't listed on disney's store site and is out of stock on etoys and toysrus - I hope what the previous poster said is true and the doll is back in stock next month. My Daughter has the Belle and SnowWhite version of this doll and loves them. I'm really really hoping I can pick up the Tiana doll for her for Christmas. She looks adorable!
(But I'm not paying $40+ dollars for this toy, that is ridic! and that is why I'm giving this listing one star)
