prettyprettyprincess is SO MUCH FUN! January 30, 2010 laura j (PHILADELPHIA, PA, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
my little niece loved playing this game and so did i and her 36 year old mom! it is fun to play a dress-up game that invoves jewelry and a crown. i bought this years ago for another niece and we had a lot of memories playing with my elderly blind aunt and my father. it is a fun for all family members game.
good choice January 14, 2010 P. Jorgensen (Wilmington, NC USA) Bought this product for our 5-year old granddaughter who loves it! Good choice for her. Promptly delivered in good condition. Thanks!
Nostalgic Game January 7, 2010 Rachel Marie Lewis (Rockford, MI) My sisters and I grew up playing the original Pretty Pretty Princess, so I got this game as a gift for my first niece. It was a great price, and she enjoys it just as much as her mother and I used to.
Great Game! December 26, 2009 A. Chambers (North Carolina) I purchased this for my niece for Christmas and when she opened it she was thrilled! We ended up playing a few hours later and laughed so hard we were crying. Her older brother (who is 11) also played. We had a blast watching everyone put on the jewelry pieces and "fight" over who was going to keep the tiara. I agree with other reviewers...have a camera handy the first time you play because it is hysterical. Great game for little girls who love the Disney princesses.
My daughter LOVES this game November 7, 2009 M. Frank (Oakton, Virginia USA) I admit I was appalled when my 3-year-old daughter received this game (the title makes me ill - I try to avoid things "pretty" and "princess-y" for my daughter), but she LOVES it so much, I had to relent. I'm not sure why it's recommended for age 5 and up - any 3-year-old can follow this game with ease. Perhaps the reason is that part of the game involves "putting jewelry back," or "giving up the crown" to another player, and some younger kids may have a hard time with that.
My only problems are that the game board (which is a 4-piece puzzle, a small "educational" feature of the game) tends to come apart when brushed against with little feet; and that the numbers on the spinner are hard to read, as they are merely raised plastic, and the same color as the background. That was easily fixed by outlining the numbers with a red sharpie. My daughter enjoyed decorating the box with jewels, and adores wearing all the jewelry. She often just takes out the game to play dress-up. A favorite. (Even my 6 year old son enjoys playing it with his sister - it gives him a rare excuse to put on jewelry! He thinks it's a hoot.)
